Under Construction

Welcome to the site from where ever you've come!
As you can see the site is currently under construction & I'm learning the whole HTML/CSS thing as I go along.

October 5
- Stamps page filled out in more detail... still images to do... life's been crazy but getting back to this now...

September 20
- Number page filled out

September 18
- Stock Titles page filled out

September 15
- formatting & summaries on the stamp home page

September 13
- working forms on the Contact Us pages - still some tweeking & finishing off to do

September 11
- brand spanking new home page slider (lots of late nights)
- Adobe Typekit installed

August 23
- added new pages for Electronic Stamps, 3 different forms and a postage page.
- some new graphics for the Under Construction pages courtesy of Mr Ron Leishman
- updated all the pages with the new graphics & formatting - SideMenu links are all (I hope) working

August 22
- header finished (happy with it) & spent the rest of the evening fighting with my fonts to get them working... I didn't win

August 21
- tidied up the header image a whole lot& brought the 4 step rollover image from the stamps page & reduced the size
- still have some fine tuning before transfer to the other pages

August 20
- I know there hasn't been much change lately, between work & everything else... as it is I'm currently stealing sleep time
- this update is going to upset the rest of the site - am just bringing the little naviagation column thing from the right side of the page to the left
- added some new text to the header
- apart from that been setting up some other stuff behind the scenes, looking into adobe's typekit which I'm signing up for tomorrow as well as working on some forms

August 9
- a little design experiment over on the main stamp page. I quite like it but just getting to it so late these days... progress is a lot slower than I'd like
- big addition to the stamps home page. Few minor things to deal with but pretty happy as it will be a major feature of every stamp related page. Still have some links to add.

August 1
- finished off the rest of the mouseovers on the stamp page

July 31
- some operational mouseovers on the stamps home page - no links. Would have had more done but I'm so sick at the moment & I had to spend 2 hours at work tonight cleaning out the car after a couple of kids decided to put a rock through my drivers side window... I only had 10cents sitting in there

July 30
- working on a store for payment processing
- have a new stamp front page with new menus & sprite mouseovers - should be up some time tomorrow night

July 26
- pricing on Date Stamps now online.
- currently working on Forms for design requests & payments via Adobe Forms Central - should be up probably over the weekend

July 25
- final coding (yes there was more) on the pricing. Live pricing now online for the Plain Stamps

July 24
- pricing is done & coding done in excel file for automatic html coding. Way too late to start transferring to the website now... time for bed!

July 23
- just working on pricing... can't charge $123.45 for every stamp ;)

July 22
- more excel work, filling in availble stock with some formatting on plain stamps & date stamps pages

July 19
- some excel work & more HTML coding. New section on stamp page, still some formatting still to work out. And no, those aren't the prices...

July 18
- discovered Adobe Forms Central(!) & have done up a test contact form on the Contact Us page & it works - drop by & give it a go (would love to hear from anyone). Currently just using the free version to try it out. Will probably upgrade this week. One very happy little vegemite am I :)

July 17
- still working on another web hosting provider & transferring from my current one
- new additions to the plain stamps page - some behind the scenes work on my excel file programming the auto creation of all the html from my spreadsheet of stamps & testing on the plain stamps page

July 16
- productive day (or rather evening) spent looking for a new web hosting provider after I learned that I'd have to upgrade to premium hosting (minimum plan is double my current plan $$$) to have working forms - thanks Bigpond!

July 15
- not much further with forms...
- header image coding for all pages now residing in the css file rather than in the header area of each page
- going to sacrifice some time now for a workout in my gym... not that this has anything to do with my progress here... maybe a lack thereof...

July 14
- added all page titles & brought the side bar up on all pages
- Excel page added under Other & Hex Colour project moved there
- copied over code from Comics to Music page & changed headings
- created a test form for the contact us area, no formatting, bare basics... I hope it works!
- alas my basic form is a miserable failure...

July 13
- offline now until tomorrow night (Aust time) no updates till late sometime then

July 12
- Combining sprites & a drop-down menu was a dismal failure as the test page (link just below) will testify but what the sprite use did effectively was to remove all the unsitely gap at the bottom of each page. I've updated all pages with the coding to make the heading area all the same but haven't had time to look at validating or dealing with the sidebar footer areas... 2am & time for bed!

July 11
- Been a long day at the office (my paying job) - very happy to get a test page done with working sprites! It's only a partial image but it works fine.

July 10
- Sorry, no real progress today site-wise. Today has been a study day - looking into sprites & a little more css. Some more progress to happen tonight!
- I did alter the header image. It was suggested that the humour of "Satisfaction Guaranteed (most of the time)" might escape some people. I had originally intended to add "99%... some people you just can't please" but removed that for the same reasoning

July 9
- Filing out some new graphics on the stamps page (no links yet)

July 8
- Some shiney new graphics for the home page with (apparently) working mouseovers!

July 6
- Not expecting a flood of emails but I have got an email address now in the contact page... just in case maybe lotteries are looking for me with a million$ for that winning ticket I didn't buy last week...

July 5
- Nothing earth-shatteringly different today other than getting the home page fully validated now
- did notice that Firefox doesn't automatically alter the table width so it runs right off the page... arrrgh!!!... it's ok...

July 4
- Comics for sale page updated with some of the collection for sale - excel file set up to automatically look after the html coding

July 3
- added this great little Scrolling div thing c/- my mate Eric Rohloff from the Coffeecup Software forums - check out his site for more great coding nuggets!
- tidied the home page a bit & went hunting for validation errors!
-

July 2
- colour formatting on the site tables & started on the layout for the comics for sale page

July 1
- has it been that long??? ... no real excuse this time apart from being busy - new drop down menu design finished & applied to all pages

June 11
- has it been that long??? had a serious computer crash (an ongoing issue since I had this custom computer - ended up being one of my 2 graphics card that simply wouldn't play nice - it's having extended time-out sitting on my desk) - life has been busy too...
- nice new header, great colour background which goes well with the blue in the header & discovered Google Fonts!
- new drop down menu design
- redid the fonts header as well - rest of the pages are as they were before at the moment

May 6
- added a functioning main Rubber Stamps page with a bit of an outline accessable from the top menu
- sorry it's been a bit slow

May 9
- despite rumors to the contrary, yes I'm still alive... though the flu is just starting up so it might not be for much longer...
- some more study, some more formatting & the 2 featured items of the website have some added info on the home page with links
- have updated all menus on the other pages to be the same as the home page now (I can adjust the formatting/positioning via the css files so that shouldn't be a problem (when I get around to it)

May 6
- added a functioning main Rubber Stamps page with a bit of an outline accessable from the top menu
- sorry it's been a bit slow

May 2/3
- been doing some more looking into CCS3...
- put indicators on the Rubber Stamps/Other menus & moved links to Other
- worked out how to put a different colour on each main menu's hover status
- the menu's appearance is only for this page... haven't copied over to the other pages as I want to adjust the colours

April 28
- updated the header image - pretty happy with it now
- updated the menu bar - super happy with it & especially the transparent drop down bit!

April 25
- changed the fonts to Arial, just looks neater
- fleshing out some stuff on the RubberStamps>Plain Stamps page
- will do a little more later, getting the kids ready for the ANZAC day march
- tried out some tables on the RubberStamps>Plain Stamps page with formatting via the css file

April 24
- menu bar with all links now working
- created all additional 13 pages that the menu links to
- all pages still only contain the same stuff, the exception being the title graphic has been inserted for all pages. content to follow

April 23
- did some labelling in my HTML so I could follow where everything is & how it works
- activated the side menu so it appears, have some plans for this
- simplified the stamp menu

Extra Stuff Goes Here

Sometimes this would be called a sidebar, but it doesn't always have to be on the side to be called a sidebar. Sidebars can be on tops of things, below things, but they are usually beside things – hence it being a called a sidebar.

I know you have better things to do than read the fine print at the bottom of this page. There's nothing very interesting... yet
